Wildfire
Wildifre is the most recent as well as the most extensively detailed of my roller coaster designs to date.
The ride seamlessly flows over, under, through, and around the surrounding midways and structures. The ride starts immediately by launching the train upwards at 40mph right into the 1st pulse-pounding inversion eliminating the slow and tedious chain lift-hill. After the exciting launch, the ride features thrilling elements such as 2 trenches, 3 fog-filled underground tunnels, and 6 upside-down inversions.
The track was designed through the utilization of the program Newton 2 in which by inputting desired velocities and g-forces, the track could be manipulated, mapped, and graphed to the users desired layout.
The atmosphere and themeing achieved is that of a north western rocky mountain type of vibe. The architectural design of the surrounding structures in order to adhere to the desired theme is rather rustic in terms of the exposed large wooden beams, wood shingled roofs, and stonework. To add an extra layer of realism, a slight smokey fog with a red hue was added to the surrounding atmosphere.
